Here is the latest released of the 100 poorest countries in the World with Africa and the Middle East countries topping the list. This poor countries have citizens living on less than a $1000 per year. The full list of the data released by the International Monetary Fund is found here.

Basically, the IMF carry out their ranking by looking at the purchasing power parity per capita.

In Africa, the following countries ranked from 26 – 28.
